Over the last two weeks, many of the town’s pubs, cafes and restaurants have started opening their doors to customers after four months without popping out for a drink or a bit to eat.
Business owners have needed to be creative and meticulous in their planning and arrangements in order to be COVID-compliant and keep customers and staff safe.
Faversham is lucky because many of its pubs have large enough gardens to be able to accommodate socially-distanced tables. For example, you can currently enjoy a meal or a pint in the fresh air at pubs such as The Three Mariners in Oare; The Sun in West Street; The Shipwrights at Hollowshore or The Anchor at Standard Quay.
Many town centre pubs and cafes are also making room for customers by placing tables and chairs on the pavements and in the Market Place, so customers can enjoy a coffee or glass of wine for example outside The Bear Inn, or Castello on Market Street or The Refinery in West Street.
The hospitality trade plays a vital role in attracting visitors and shoppers to Faversham and its town centre and their return is good news for the economic recovery of the town.
Below is a list of pubs, cafes, restaurants and bars open for business. If you’re aware of an other establishments that should be included, please send us an email via our contact page. Thank you!
