For anyone searching for Father’s Day ideas – look no further than lovely Faversham!  Many of the shops are now open for business and would love the support of residents and shoppers.

Whatever Dad’s interests, there’s bound to be the ideal present just waiting for you to uncover it and with three days left, there’s still plennnnnnty of time!

In no particular order, here are some great local businesses just waiting to help you with your Father’s Day present shopping….

Creekside Vinyl on Market Street is a cracking gem of a record shop with an owner who is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about music.  There’s plenty to choose from with a wide range of musical tastes. Or you can play it safe and buy a gift voucher.

Faversham Market will be open on Friday and Saturday – if your Dad loves gardening, then Richard’s Plants has a great selection of plants at reasonable prices.

Lotty’s Flowers on the Market Place and D&G Florists in Preston Street both sell lovely little indoor plants and arrangements, which make for perfect presents for little people to buy their Dads.

Brogdale Collections holds terrific workshops and short courses including cider making, hedgerow wine making, gardening and more.  What a fab present idea for those Dads that would prefer an experience as a gift.  Brogdale also sells gift vouchers and annual Orchard Passes.

The legendary Faversham gift shop Barley Mow has a wonderfully curated selection of gifts and cards and you’re bound to find something even for the hardest man to buy for!

Top Hat & Tales in West Street not only has a superb range of accessories and gifts but also a terrific selection of both fiction and non-fiction books too. The very tasteful owner can help you pick out a hat or even a pair of socks…just perfect for your Dad.

Edible Culture on Canterbury Road and Grow at Brogdale are both great options if you’re looking for presents for Dads that garden!  You could also pop down to Standard Quay too and check out the vintage tools and pots for sale.

Antiques make for an unusual present and at the time of writing this Upstairs Downstairs on lower West Street – with two floors rammed with vintage goodies – had already reopened, with other shops sure to follow suit too.

West 1 on Preston Street has a great range of men’s clothing and the friendly chap that works there can help you pick out the perfect Father’s Day gift. Gridlock on Preston Street also has a great selection of men’s shoes, clothes and accessories.

If you’re thinking of splashing out and treating Dad to a watch, Barker’s on Preston Street is a lovely jewellery shop with an excellent selection of both watches and jewellery.

Why not treat your Dad to a fine bottle of wine from Vino’s in Court Street? Fabio has a great selection from you to choose from.

Last but not least, Macknade Fine Food on Selling Road has a magnificent range of both international and locally-sourced food and drink. They also sell hampers.  You’re sure to find the perfect present for foodie-dads.

In addition to the above, Faversham also has a selection of excellent card shops.  Check out Forget-Me-Not; Presentimes and Faversham Frames – all of which are now open for business.
